Today we took a much needed break. With a later start, we woke up for the Sunday Mass at 10:30 AM. The room was filled with soulful hymns and prayer that were are kindly translated to English. After the sermon had ended, we headed to a noodle shop set up by the Church's neighbors. Words can't describe the taste. Everything was fresh and prepared in front of us. The whole church had joined there as we ordered more and more.
Then we took time to just relax.
In the evening, we were taken to a local "park." At the end of the park there is a walkway across a dam that overlooks the sea. We rented some bikes and spent our time taking in the view and drifting along the walkway.
Once we returned, we were greeted with a scrumptious fragrance coming from Khem's house across the street. To our surprise, it was a beautiful barbecue set up outdoors. Neighbors, family, friends, and church attendees were all present to dine on the feast Khem had planned.
We ended the night there dancing with everybody. Learning traditional Thai dances as we taught them what little we knew about dancing. It was such a fun experience- one that we will always remember.
